Comprehensive Impact of Salesian Education on the Formation of Youth with Valuesand Social Commitment

This research aimed to analyze the relevance and perspectives of the Salesian Educational Model through a documentary analysis of three recent academic publications, in conjunction with the experience of the Salesian Educational Unit “María Auxiliadora.” The results demonstrate that the institutional identity of Salesian education in Latin America rests on two fundamental pillars: fidelity to the Salesian charism and the capacity to adapt to historical and contextual changes. Furthermore, it highlights that accompaniment processes, teacher motivation, and youth participation are essential pillars for sustaining the Salesian mission, especially in times of crisis. From the perspective of the preventive system, the importance of close educational relationships and environments of trust is emphasized as central elements of pedagogical practice. Taken together, the findings
confirm that the Salesian educational approach has an integrative character that articulates institutional identity, pedagogical innovation, and social commitment, positioning the María Auxiliadora School as a space that combines tradition and modernity in the holistic development of young people.
